What are common anxiety symptoms?
We have all heard the word anxiety. Everyone feels anxious some of the time. Have you ever had a presentation at work and you can’t stop worrying about it? Or maybe you have a scheduled medical procedure and you can’t stop thinking of the worst-case scenarios. We all have these moments. Many times, our anxiety subsides. The presentation is over. The procedure was successful. But sometimes anxiety is persistent and relentless. It feels like you can’t escape the constant worry. Sometimes when you experience chronic anxiety, you start to feel physical symptoms. These can manifest as tightness in your chest, muscle soreness, nausea, headaches, fatigue and a feeling that your heart is racing. Therapy can sometimes be difficult in the beginning - I’m sure it can feel weird talking to someone you don’t know about your deepest thoughts. Online therapy allows you get the benefits from therapy while doing it at a time and place that is convenient for you. We will do sessions on a secure video platform. The only requirement is that you have reliable internet access. If online therapy isn’t your jam, I also offer walk and talk sessions.
