Anxiety treatment can help you find effective strategies to manage your worry and get back to feeling like you
“Anxiety is a lot like a toddler. It never stops talking, tells you you’re wrong about everything, and wakes you up at 3 am.”

What are common anxiety symptoms?
We have all heard the word anxiety. Everyone feels anxious some of the time. Have you ever had a presentation at work and you can’t stop worrying about it? Or maybe you have a scheduled medical procedure and you can’t stop thinking of the worst-case scenarios. We all have these moments. Many times, our anxiety subsides. The presentation is over. The procedure was successful. But sometimes anxiety is persistent and relentless. It feels like you can’t escape the constant worry. Sometimes when you experience chronic anxiety, you start to feel physical symptoms. These can manifest as tightness in your chest, muscle soreness, nausea, headaches, fatigue and a feeling that your heart is racing. Take a look at some of the signs that you might be experiencing anxiety.
Feeling nervous or on edge
Having a sense of impending doom or constantly creating worse-case scenarios in your head
Increased heart rate
Feeling fatigued
Difficulty concentrating
Having thoughts that keep you up at night
What does anxiety treatment look like?
Dealing with anxiety is exhausting—mentally, emotionally, and physically. I like to call it an energy vampire because that’s exactly what it feels like. It can drain your motivation, your joy, and your ability to feel present in your own life. At Hello Therapy in Houston, TX, anxiety treatment is not one-size-fits-all. It’s a personalized process that evolves based on your needs, your story, and your goals.
I use a combination of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure-based interventions. CBT, in particular, is one of the most effective tools we have for treating anxiety. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts shape how we feel and how we respond to what’s happening around us.
Here’s what that looks like in real life: Let’s say your partner calls to say they’re leaving work and will be home soon. An hour passes—no sign of them and they’re not picking up their phone. Your mind jumps to the worst-case scenario: maybe they were in a car accident. The worry spirals, and suddenly your chest is tight, your heart is racing, and you’re calling them over and over again just to feel some sense of control. CBT helps you learn how to pause in those moments, identify those anxious thoughts, and challenge them. What’s the evidence? Is there another explanation? And how can we reframe that thought in a way that feels more balanced and less overwhelming?
Another core part of anxiety treatment is learning to tune into your body - because anxiety doesn’t just live in your mind. It often shows up first as physical sensations: a clenched jaw, tight chest, shallow breathing. We’ll work together to increase your awareness of these signals and build a toolbox of strategies—like breathwork, grounding techniques, and mindful movement—to help you manage anxiety before it takes over.
My goal isn’t to get rid of anxiety completely (spoiler: that’s not possible), but to help you understand it, take away its power, and move through life with more calm, confidence, and clarity.
Will I benefit from anxiety treatment online?
Absolutely! Many clients have voiced that they enjoy online counseling as it allows them to be in their safe space. Therapy can sometimes be difficult in the beginning - I’m sure it can feel weird talking to someone you don’t know about your deepest thoughts. Online therapy allows you get the benefits from therapy while doing it at a time and place that is convenient for you. We will do sessions on a secure video platform. The only requirement is that you have reliable internet access. If online therapy isn’t your jam, I also offer walk and talk sessions.
